Success by Six in February, 2006

 

We are extremely excited about a new space available for Montgomery Success by Six to use!!  Lynn Cota-Caforia has offered us her daycare space for our use (for now, we will call it “Lynn’s Space”).  “Lynn’s Space” is white w/burgundy trim on 168 Main Street, Montgomery Center right next to Montgomery Organics.  We hope to utilize this space for all kinds of events including craft making, children’s yoga and infant interactions.  Because this space is private and set up for children, we will be able to hold more “messy” playgroups, but are also excited to have a more inviting space for babies and their parents to socialize. 

 

·        Friday, February 3rd  - Playgroup at “Lynn’s Space” at 10am – activities and playtime for children and babies.

 

·        Sunday, February 5th – Madagascar on the BIG Screen at Montgomery Town Library at 2pm.  Parents must stay with children.

 

·        Saturdays, February 11th and 18th – Free play (tumble time) and Infant Interactions at MES Gym at 9:30am – 11:30am – tumble, rumble and have some fun- the Lagasse bounce house will be set up!.

 

·        Monday, February 13th  – PJ Storyhour at Montgomery Town Library at 6:30pm – 7:15pm.

 

·        Friday, February 24th – Germbusters at Lynn’s Space at 10am –Children are invited to participate in a fun and interactive lesson on the importance of hand washing.  A Vermont Department of Health Nurse will use the glo germ to "illuminate" the proper way to wash hands and help minimize the spread of germs. Lots of fun – babies and parents invited to play.

 

·        Hazen’s Notch snowshoeing will be open to all Montgomery Success by Six families for a discounted rate on Wednesdays throughout the winter season.  Success by Six will NOT cover cost of this – please see Rolf Anderson upon arrival.

 

·        Ice Skating at the Montgomery Town Rec Center –free skating and skate rentals – various sizes available.  Look for the evening lights – open weather permitting.  Weekdays 6pm – 9pm; Saturdays 10am – 3pm and 6pm – 9pm; Sundays 10am – 3pm and 6pm – 8pm
